Now that we are all fully back into the swing of work and school, we thought we would share some of our favourite tried and true healthy snacks to help fuel your day without the downside of heavy sugar or artificial ingredients. The are currently on heavy rotation in our household for both the kids at school and the parents at work for their office snacks!

1) Made Good Bars and Snacks These snacks are ubiquitous for both school and work for the best of reasons: They are nut free, they are made with healthy ingredients (they sneak a bunch of veggies into their recipes), and they actually taste good!

2) SmartSweets These are an essential treat for those days when you just really need to have a sour gummy or some candy--and those days do exist--whether that's because you're in need of some good old fashioned comfort food or your kid is begging you for a treat and you don't want to load them up with sugar. Each package has only 3 grams of sugar, but you would never know it. They satisfy even the sweetest of sweet tooths (sweet teeth?!)

3) Summer Fresh Snack & Go Summer Fresh is probably the yummiest tasting hummus around (it's the only hummus our kids will eat, for real) because it tastes like it's supposed to--as in, a delightful, healthy dip for crackers and veggies made from chickpeas and other natural ingredients without a load of added chemicals and oils that don't need to be there. These little packs are great to have on hand for your team in your office pantry or to bring to work as a mid-afternoon office snack if you're conscious of your protein intake and want to make sure that you're fuelling your body throughout the day with snacks that won't lead you to a sugar crash after. Another child and adult approved snack!

4) nomz These little balls of goodness are great if you need to follow up your savoury lunch with something sweet for a palate cleanse, or you need an extra boost of natural energy. With just a handful of ingredients, the ingredients read and taste like something you could easily whip up at home with things like dates, pistachios, chocolate, and coconut (but then you would have to the work!) So instead, we recommend just stocking up on Nomz for the home and as part of your office snack rotation. They're great in a pinch.

5) SkinnyPop Popcorn At Pantree.ca we carry a few different popcorn brands and, honestly, they're all delicious, from Farm To Table to good ol' Orville Redenbacher. The reason we added this is that it’s a low cost way to increase impact, and the trees can be tracked within the customer's account, which is a feature that our customers have really been loving because it allows them to see in real time how they are contributing, and provides data to communicate to their team internally.
